What to expect when you come to a class

When you arrive there will be gentle music playing & you’ll be able to select a space for your mat. We always have spares so don’t worry if you don’t have one.

There are a range of props available which can help you feel more comfortable in some postures and equipment for Pilates.

Classes begin with a few minutes of relaxation & breathing so that we can really arrive in the space & prepare the body & mind for the practice. We may introduce a theme or a focus at this stage.

Once we are settled we will move on to a series of limbers to warm the body up & prepare the joints & muscles for greater movements & asanas.

We will progress through a range of movements, (asanas) no previous experience of yoga is necessary as we will provide clear demonstrations and instructions. We also offer a range of modifications & challenges.

During a class we will work the whole body. You will improve your strength & flexibility but more importantly you will feel relaxed & refreshed.

Classes end with savasana (relaxation) this might be a guided meditation or just time to unwind & absorb the benefits of the practice. We often end the class with an inspirational reading or poem. Ainsley is also a qualified sound therapist so you will often hear crystal bowls during your relaxation. You will leave feeling longer, stronger & relaxed.

We’re passionate about helping people to improve their well-being.

We understand how it feels to be utterly exhausted, stressed from work, and drained. Our classes allow you to turn your thoughts inward and switch off from stress and demands. You will build strength, flexibility, and most importantly, techniques to calm your nervous system and unwind.
